Archival alcohol transfer to watercolor paper 11 x 15" $375 Dragonfly trapped behind a window looking outside seeking to regain its freedom. This image symbolizes the feelings we can have when we are confined alone in an apartment for such a long period of time. The use of the window installs the notion of separation between the interior and the exterior during this deprivation of liberty.
Archival alcohol transfer to watercolor paper 11 x 15" $375 Spider in its web woven in the opening of my window. In France, there is a proverb that says: "Evening spider, hope; morning spider, heartache." This spider brings to me the hope of release from containment and the prospect of a new reality. This image was taken with a digital camera in Long Island City and has been printed on hand-cut Arches 88 watercolor paper using an alcohol transfer alternative process.
