Paul O'Malley
My name is Paul O'Malley, and I am a photographer and writer based in LIC. My work explores my own feelings of loneliness and solitude in an overflowing, bustling world (be it big cities or vast natural spaces) and the feelings of others, by producing a visual representation of emotions that many can relate to. Perhaps more than even the city itself, the art scene in New York is like the context my photography stories often emerge from. Crowded, bustling and bouncing. In a very meta-way, my work finds its place exactly in the rare ""in between"", respiro moments.Through the honest portrayal of emotions like sensitivity and authenticity, my aim is to empower like-minded individuals to recognize, accept and even find solace in their own inclination toward solitude and isolation.
