Nikki Kimboko

Nikki Kimboko is a visual artist and quilter who lives and works in Jackson Heights, NY. She explores her artistic work through a focus on fabric colorwork, pattern blending and geometric shapes, accented with thoughtfully hand stitched details. She began quilting as a way of creating in the between times of my family life. She hand sews for portability and because she can create anywhere and can be found throughout Queens and beyond with fabric, needle and thread, creating as she goes. Nikki received a BFA at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. She worked as a Creative Assistant, Sr Technical Art Director, Art Teacher in 2s and 3s class, and as a Girl Scouts volunteer for more than a decade..
