Meryl Shapiro

 I am a Queens NYC based visual artist. I work in a variety of ever changing media such as painting, drawing, printmaking, one of akind jewelry and soft sculpture. My influences and inspirations range from the natural world and the human imprint that architectural forms and intimate spaces have on nature. Ancient to contemporary artists including Matisse, Richard Diebenkorn, Marsden Harley, Odilon Redon, Paula Modersohn Becker and folk artists among many others, continue to inspire me. I have my BA in Fine Arts from Queens College of the City University of New York.
