Whether in the wilderness, city or studio responses to nature figure prominently in my paintings. Combining the impossibility of capturing the moment and the primacy of imagination I seek to celebrate the natural world and mark in a personal and meditative way the passage and power of light in time and space. Travel in varied climates and terrains often informs my work and I am influenced by the powerful women artists of the past who forged ahead with their personal visions. My background includes 7 artist residencies around the world, over 8solo shows in Tribeca and Chelsea and work in numerous corporate and university collections.
