I work in series, painting acrylic and oils over previous paintings, updating them to the current series until the piece strikes a particular chord. They are dually a taxonomic record of process and images that I’m thinking about related to art history. My watercolors function as a benevolent trolling homage to images posted by artists and critics on Instagram.
