Artist Bio:
Even as a child, drawing was all I could think about and all I ever wanted to do. I spent hours and days drawing picture after picture, wherever and whenever I could. My influences at the time were cartoons, comic books, and fashion illustrations. I attended the High School of Art & Design to study fashion illustration and Advertising Art, and I also took classes in patternmaking and textile design. At the School of Visual Arts, I studied painting and sculpture, discovered that my true passion was fine art, and sought a way to blend all the experiences I’d acquired. Line and color have always been my strengths, and they are what many of my collectors and fans love me for. I am currently working on a series of black-and-white paintings and drawings that I hope will express color through patterning.
Artist Statement:
My art draws inspiration from my dreams and memories. I use bold strokes and bright colors to explore the space between queerness and camp, transforming flashy elements into dynamic forms that blend elegance with irony. My paintings highlight theatrical aspects of performance and the power of kitsch. I want to take viewers to a place where emotion, memory, and desire collide in a personal way. Each time someone encounters my work, I hope they find an opportunity to reflect and see themselves within this vibrant world.
