Engel’s artistic journey includes a BA in Liberal Arts/Theatre/Scenic Design from Rhode Island College. In NYC, she continued her education with graphic design studies at the Center for Media Arts and the School of Visual Arts, followed by intensive sculpture studies at The Art Students League of New York, where she received  the Nessa Cohen Grant. Her studies also included a summer workshop in Pietrasanta, Italy.

She has exhibited her work extensively, and her sculptures have been purchased by private collectors in Paris, Hong Kong, and the United States, including the permanent collection of The Art Students League of New York. Many of her sculptures have appeared in episodes of a variety of TV shows commercials.
