I am an abstract painter that uses oil and mixed media on canvas. I get  my inspiration from my past interacted with observations that I pull  from my environment to express my world. I was raised in a traditional  Chinese household and grew up in liberal Netherlands. It resulted in  many conflicts between family life and the outside world. I felt like an  outsider, not belonging to either culture. I combine these experiences  with my observation of shapes, form and color to illicit an emotional  response from the observer. My creative process is part subconscious,  part planned and part spontaneous.
