Artist Bio:
Jacki Davis is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in New York City. Davis has lived and worked between Los Angeles and New York, across art direction, creative writing, and fashion/costume design. She holds a BFA from The College of Santa Fe, NM (Performance Art, Painting and Installation). She creates collage, works on paper, artist books, photography, ceramic, performance and interactive installation. Her work has been shown in New York City California, New Mexico, and Miami Beach during art Miami Week.
Artist Statement:
I am is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. My work focuses on the intersection of ancient philosophies, the natural world, and spiritual identity. I engage in meditation and find inspiration in my Mayan heritage, human relations to the natural world, and quantum theory I work with various mediums including painting, currency collage, ceramic, text based works and installation and performance. I’m currently working on a “library of anecdotes of feminine intimidation in the 2020’s”
