Carmine Santaniello

After a career as a graphic designer, illustrator, owner and art director of a design studio, Carmine has put that behind him and started to follow his passion- fine art. Since then he has exhibited nationally and internationally, has had several one man shows and also debuted as a curator. Working from his home studio and Robert Blackburn Printmaking workshop in NYC.

Recent works utilize urban images that I photograph along with a printmaking process - Paper Lithography. Currently I am using this process and turning my prints into collages to create new works of art inspired by the decay of urban environments. Encouraged by graffiti, street art, marred and antiquated urban surfaces. These new collages are the culmination of inspiration from a recent artist residency in Venice, Italy.
