Roberta Kleiman
I’m a New York City native, and grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens. I still remember creating my first works in that apartment. “Girl Floating” hung proudly in our hallway, along with “Purple Fish” and “Keep America Beautiful”. I have always been seduced by color, form and light.
Drawing and painting was, and remains, a peaceful world for me to get lost in. Years ago I heard someone used the term “flow time", roughly meaning "living in the moment". For me “Art Flow Time” is a place of joy and spontaneity. I am delighted when someone feels something and experiences their own “flow time” when viewing my work.
Lately my work is primarily done in watercolor and gouache . I delight in the fact that my work maintains the same child-like joy as when I first began as a young child.
