Artist Bio:
I am a New York City painter, printmaker and teacher based in Manhattan and Long Island City. I graduated from Barnard College, studied art at the Art Students League and Provincetown Workshop, and received an MFA in Printmaking from CCNY. I am a member of the National League of American PEN Women, Metropolitan Artists, Long Island City Artists, and the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.
Artist Statement:
My expressionist paintings incorporate traditional landscape and figurative painting, held together by elements of cultural iconography. I love to travel to experience new cultures, landscapes and underwater worlds. The viewer can identify with familiar objects while being confronted with images from less familiar cultures
