Artist Statement:
Nie Lisha's works of art derive from her mistrust of authoritative and hegemonic social and ideological constructions, which she describes as "fictional space." She aims to explore and expose what she terms as "leakages of the real" - moments where truth seeps through these constructed narratives. Her current practice moves between the paradoxical coexistence of natural cycles and industrial production.
