Artist Bio:
Gessica Silverman is an abstract painter. Her work is about natural systems, regenerative properties and healing. She is a native of Boston, MA and attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston at Tufts University. Silverman has exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in DC, Tufts University in Massachusetts, Brodsky Center at Rutgers, and the Rubin-Frankel Gallery at Boston University, among others. She was awarded the 2023 School of the Museum Fine Arts Traveling Fellowship to visit Spain and was a board member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA). Silverman is in the collection of Tufts University. She now works in Queens, NY.
Artist Statement:
My work is about natural systems, regenerative properties and healing. Natural patterns are my framework to organize information and color, pattern and floral forms are the pillars of my process. My compositions radiate shape and structure evolving in a sequence of ever improving patterns.
