John Cebollero

As it were, my work tends to focus on the elusive allure of that which is not abundantly obvious. Therefore my pursuits, artistically speaking, are to reflect those measures of attraction that are so personal and nuanced that we are reluctant to confess our attraction to them; a juxtaposition of qualities that fall outside the established aesthetics of beauty. Yet, never the less, we find their effect undeniably beguiling. They are congenial to the parts of ourselves that we feel are best kept concealed, out of fear of judgement. That being said, my goal is to represent and legitimize this tacit aesthetic.
