The shambles of the 21st Century must be understood before actual change can take place. We must discern the perpetrators of ecological calamities, who are the same cluster of bankers and financiers and oil magnates who have created such unforetold destruction upon humankind, and at an ever increasing rate in the last decades. They who think themselves in control have awakened to the result of their profiteering. They have become the hapless victims of their own machinations. Thus, they run and hide, adopt guises of normalcy and humanity and caring, when in fact they secretly shudder in fear and dread. My paintings seek them out, hold them accountable, exhibit their follies, and also present a glimmer into the natural world as it rises up to proclaim Basta!
