Irene Christensen
I weave mystical tales conjured by the equilibrium of humans and nature. I am involved in creating a personal iconography. These symbols are rooted in the figurative and landscape images with colors setting moods rather than copying nature. I transform simple forms into resonant presences, and meld the knowable and the possible visuals through sensual intuition.
My work can be divided into three groups “Works on paper, mostly concertina books”, “Mixed Media Box Art” and “Paintings”.
