Howard Stevens

Realistic photographic images become abstract works of art when Howard Stevens playfully explores them in Photoshop. He once said, “I have no idea what will happen when I begin the process. I twist, turn, and manipulate the image until I’m happy with the effect”.

His resulting design bears no resemblance to the original photo. It takes on a completely different life. Movement within each piece is created through imaginative use of, color, line, and form. There is no message to be seen or read
into this body of work. It is simply an enjoyable way of seeing reality differently.
