For the past two years, Michael Connors has worked on refining his approach to portraiture and painting. A journey to find a rhythm and movement in the depiction of a subject and relay a sense of vitality. That feeling is captured in the spontaneity of the brush as it meets the canvas in a style that is a mixture of illustrative and academic. By using form, shadow, line and color to make the subject really come alive.
