Bobby Flowells

Bobby Flowells (Bob Javier) is a visual artist based in Long Island City. Originally from Mandaluyong, Philippines, he spent his formative years in Anaheim, CA and found his place in American culture through 90’s hip hop, street art, and food.

His style uses bright, vivid colors that evoke the nostalgia of his favorite decade, mainly through the medium of canvas and acrylic paint. The story behind each piece is informed by a moment in life. His work explores the essence of the everyday through places and characters that personify feelings he’d like to convey to the viewer.
