Sarah C. Awad
Sarah C. Awad is a multimedia artist and educator. She holds a BFA from NYU's Studio Art program.
Her work is based in her fascination with and exploration of the suspended state of the post mortem, and the convergence and juxtaposition of the natural and unnatural that occurs in that strangely balanced, numbing, and powerful stasis. Through the use of 3D Printing in conjunction with other mediums, she aspires to create work that experiments within this realm, and explores its importance in the timeline to further understand the self-destructive disconnect humans can have with their bodies, and the clinical and emotional decisions made on both sides of that relationship.
She is also Co-Founder of TheLaserGirls, through which she hopes to inspire and teach others about 3D Printing
