Mary Teresa Giancoli

Mary Teresa Giancoli photographs communities and the natural landscape. She has exhibited her work at Plaxall Gallery, Local Project, Jeffrey Leder Gallery, La Guardia Community College, AIR Gallery, and Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. She was a Swing Space Artist in Residence with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, to edit Cuetzalan, a portfolio exploring dance and rituals among women’s communities in the Puebla region of Mexico. Solo exhibitions include The Museum of Arts and Culture, New Rochelle, El Museo Francisco Oller y Diego Rivera, Buffalo and St. Lawrence University, Canton, all in New York; Mama Art Gallery, San Francisco, Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla, Mexico and the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana. She received an M.F.A. from Hunter College.
