Marie Koo
My art reflects where I came from: Hong Kong, Connecticut, New York. A sense of rapture and foreboding born from deep forests of Catholic guilt/Puritan paranoia, topped with the neon lights of an uncertain future. Death is a common theme - like dogs rolling on spots where something has died. My work is cute – as cute as teddy bears at roadside memorials.
