Jin Ko
Jin Ko is a Korean Artist with a background in Fashion Design and Graphic Art. His work is based on using his personal experiences in life and love to create universal art with which anyone can identify. He’s been based in NYC for over a decade now and creates his work in his Astoria, Queens studio.
Influenced greatly by his background in fashion, pattern making, textile design based on graphic art, stitching and hand silk screen printing are all common in Ko’s work. The use of digitally altered photography, light and shadowboxes give his pieces depth and perspective. All of that mixed with Ko’s multicultural life experience makes for a colorful, funky, fresh body of work.
