Daniel Trouillot

I was born and raised in Port au Prince Haiti. I attended primary school at Saint Louis de Gonzague and secondary school at Frank Devieux. After graduating from HS, I came to New York city and soon after I was drafted in the American army. After returning from the army, I attended the School of Visual Art where I studied technical drafting. In 1970 I opened my own business, Metalia , in the garment center where I was manufacturing and designing Jewelries. During my career I had the opportunity to work with Alexis Kurt, Bill Smith, Ernest Carter. My paintings reflect a mixture of all my creativity which contribute to enriching and expanding my culture.
