Mission Statement

LIC Artists, Inc. was founded in 1986 and incorporated in 1989 with a mission to:

• Increase the visibility of professional visual artists working in the Long Island City area*
• Expand the range of opportunities available for area artists
• Develop a sense of community and camaraderie among area artists
• Create and promote public art events and projects for the cultural enrichment of the Queens community.

In the years to come, LIC Artists will continue promoting area artists and providing the public with experiences that highlight the dynamic role the arts play in enriching community life.
