In pursuit of these goals, LIC Artists, Inc. --LICA-- 
has supported and produced the annual open 
studios from 1986 through 1995.  LIC Artlofts, Inc., 
a major studio complex in the LIC area, hosted 
exhibitions for all LICA members in conjunction 
with the open studios, as well as small works and 
holiday exhibitions. LIC Artists sponsored other 
exhibitions in collaboration with educational, 
cultural and corporate institutions in Long Island 
City, Queens and Manhattan (including LaGuardia 
Community College Gallery, Queensborough 
Community Gallery, Flushing Town Hall, Henry 
DeFord Gallery, Quinn Gallery, Le Triomphe 
(gallery/restaurant), Oak Ridge at Forest Park, 
Theater in the Park, gallery at Lincoln Center). 

In 1992 LICA presented jointly with the Queens 
Council on the Arts a Fall Seminar series at 
Silvercup Studios, open to the public, on issues 
vital to all artists. 

LICA maintains a registry of slides and resumes 
and publishes a newsletter.
