Philip has an MFA in Studio Art and Critical Theory from Maine College of art and a BFA in Studio Art from York University. His ceramic paintings are a Fusion style of Eastern and Western techniques that give him the widest parameters of painting style, including technique, philosophy, and aesthetics. In my paintings, I search for the relationship between the human condition and the cultural, social and natural elements that surround us. Philip has studied Chinese Ink Painting and Sumi-e for more than 25yrs and gives workshops and classes at this LIC studio.
