Being a curious person, I've always enjoyed looking around. I find that, keeping my eyes open, there seem to be gems almost everywhere; all sorts of found prizes to take back to the studio. Whether it be a lyrical twist of wire, shiny new ceramic fixture, a red mitten, each special bit says, "Take me home!" . It's great to have lots to play with, to take apart and put together, to assemble, to photograph. Some little find can lead to a new and exciting construction, assemblage or photograph in the most surprising way. The journey has been more than I anticipated and not what I expected.
