Marla Lipkin is a native New Yorker. She attended 'The High School of Music and Art' and went on to receive her BFA from 'The Cooper Union School of Art' and a Masters of Art from 'Hunter Graduate School.'
Ms. Lipkin has enjoyed residences at The Millay Colony for the Arts and the Michael Karolyi Foundation in France.
Ms. Lipkin is an American Contemporary Realist Landscape painter. Her adventures to Cape Cod, southern Maine, and more recently to the Florida Keys, are her souce of inspiration. "It's all about the light - how color, texture, form, and mood change with the light...the time of day, the weather, the season."
The artist has exhibited widely and her work is in many private collections.
